Description

For people who love gardens, propagation—the practice of growing whatever you want, whenever you want—is gardening itself. In this paperback reissue of the successful book Making More Plants, Druse, one of America’s foremost gardening authorities, presents innovative, practical techniques for expanding any plant collection, along with more than 500 photographs. Based on years of personal research, this is a practical manual as well as a beautiful garden book, presenting procedures Ken Druse has tested and adapted, as well as photographed step by step.

I can only offer second hand observations about this book. I saw it mentioned in an article in the "Washington Post" (owned by Jeff Bezos head cheese of Amazon) and it was given high marks by the author. I asked my significant other if she liked the book and found it worthwhile. She acknowledged that it was a very informative read and she had read other books by the same author. I was then regaled by stories of the author. I was then showed an example of some of the ideas shown in the book. She had propagated a coleus plant I got from a nursery. It is still going strong (five weeks). If you are or know someone who is into plants this would be a worthwhile investment.
