Boots are very warm and no break-in period needed. Be sure to order up a size if you wear a half size, especially if you want to wear thick socks. I typically wear an 8 1/2 and ordered an 8. It was too tight unless I wear very thin socks. I re-ordered a size 9, slightly too big but more comfortable.
